Orthopedics
What is Orthopedic Surgery?
Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery dealing with the preservation and restoration of function of the musculoskeletal system, including the bones, tendons, muscles and joints. If you have issues associated with movement, whether due to injury or age-related conditions, orthopedic surgeons specialize in restoring your body’s mobility. Our Rush Memorial Hospital surgeons provide a broad range of treatments, from a simple carpal tunnel release to a total joint replacement of the hip or knee.
Who are our Orthopedic Surgeons?
Some orthopedic surgeons are generalists and others specialize in treating particular parts of the body. At Rush Memorial Hospital, our orthopedic surgeons, both of whom are board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, are specialists.
